Epson have just announced 3 new 4k HDR projectors.

The EH-TW7300, EH-TW9300, EH-TW9300W will be available from September, priced at £2,199, £2,999 and £3,299 respectively.



The EH-TW7300, EH-TW9300 (pictured above) and EH-TW9300W all offer support for HDR content with a wide colour gamut able to cover sRGB and DCI colour spaces.

The EH-TW7300, and the wireless HDMI option the EH-TW9300W), claim a dynamic contrast of 1,000,000:1, with 2,500 lumens brightness.

This also uses  a new 16-piece glass lens.The EH-TW7300 is rated at 160,000:1 dynamic contrast and 2,300 lumens brightness.

The models are not native 4K, but use a 4K upscaling technology which delivers a 2160p onscreen image. Picture processing modes include frame interpolation and detail enhancement.

Connectivity wise you have two HDMI inputs (one of which is HDCP 2.2 compliant for use with 4K Blu-ray players), with RS232c control and a 12v trigger.

Epson say if you use Eco mode ‘a user can watch a film every day on the big screen for the next seven years’ before a lamp replacement is due.

There is now a a powered 2.1x optical zoom, powered focus and a new powered lens shift of ±96.3 per vertical and ±47.1 per cent horizontal. The projectors are capable of storing up to ten different lens memory positions for variable aspect ratio displays.
